Sonic watches was created by a group of water and sky diving enthusiasts. Their first model, the Sonic Barracuda 2000M is waterproof to 200 BAR.

NauticFish is specialized in automatic diving watches with Swiss ETA movements. They have a new converter, which allows the user to custom-design their 1000M watch.

Timefactors new PRS3

Timefactors has been working on a new homage inspired by a 1980′s generic design found accross brands like Adura, CWC, Edma, Heuer, with a dial inspired by the vintage Omega Seamaster 300. There are already versions of this design with ETA 2824-2 on eBay so at GB£ 350.00 (US$ 560.00), the PRS3 is not on the cheap side, but Eddia Platts has built himself a solid reputation so they might nevertheless sell like hot cakes.

Deep Blue Sea Diver 1K

Deep Blue is releasing the Sea Diver 1K, a 46 mm stainless steel saturation diving watch housing a Japanese 8205 Miyota caliber. The black and orange dial versions are already sold out.

introducing: NFW

Watch business veteran George J. Fox set up to create his own brand of watches. Besides 4 collections featuring quartz movements, NFW has been working on a new rugged collection called the ViperFish. The sandwich case comes with a quartz chronograph and (of more interest to this blog) an automatic watch. OceanicTime has been posting pictures of the prototypes.

I think efforts to come up with original designs should always be saluted.

introducing: Môntrèk watches

A new player called Môntrèk offers saturation diving, square and world time watches equipped with the Miyota 8215 automatic caliber. The watches are all rated to 1000 meters and use what seem to be stock designs.

Prometheus new collections

Prometheus watch company has been working on a new Swiss made collection, the Ocean Diver.

  • Ocean Diver (with ETA 2836-2 movement)
  • Ocean Diver GMT (with Prometheus GMT movement Swiss made and based on ETA 2836-2)
  • Ocean Diver Chrono version (with ETA 7750 movement)

Each model with meet the following specs:

  • sandblasted
  • water resistant 300 meters
  • Swiss Made
  • Diameter: 44.00 mm (measured from top ring)
  • Length: 51.40 mm
  • lug width 22 mm
  • super luminous
  • 2 years warranty
  • sapphire crystal
  • rubber or leather strap (still to be decided)

introducing: Serket watch company

Founded in 2006, the Serket watch company features three collections, the latest being the Telson, a limited edition of 200 watches featuring a Unitas caliber. Older collections are the Scorpion Reef Diver and the Reef Diver 2.0.

I think Serket really does stands out with their original designs.

The Prometheus watch company has beem marketing the CR1, a chronograph housing the Asian built Shanghai 3LZF2, which is a retro-engineered Swiss Valjoux 7750 caliber.

The CR1 draws inspiration from 1980′s military chronographs. The founders are very open to inputs from watch enthusiasts, and they are working on a new project.
