introducing: Huguenin

Hat tip to Jason Heaton of Hodinkee.com.

There is an extensive lineage of the Huguenin name in the history of Swiss watchmaking, which probably explains why the trade mark registration appears twice in Switzerland: once held by Faude & Huguenin AG and once by Vincent Huguenin.

In the US, the mark had previously been registered by the Hamilton corporation in January 1964, and it has been held since May 2006 by a certain Zafair A. Basha.

Recently thus, the brand has been revived, claiming a strong link with military aviation. The collection consists of two version of the same watch design, inspired by German observation watches.

The Observer features an all-luminous dial with black printing, and the Professional features a black dial with white printing. Bot watches are sized at 47.0 mm and are resistant to 5 bar (static depth of 50 meters). There are 500 pieces of each models available in stainless steel finish, and 200 of each model with PVD finish.

The watches can be purchased from Classiwatch.com or Elitewristwatch.com. Prices are USd 1,499.00 for most versions and USD 1,599.00 for the PVD version with black dial. All 4 watches can be purchased in a multiple set for USD 7,217.00.
